I was born in Nebraska but have lived in Arizona my entire life.  I went to school in the Paradise Valley School District, and I graduated from Shadow Mountain High School.  I graduated from the University of Arizona with my B.A. and from NAU with my Master's degree in reading. 

 

I have a husband, two little boys: Calan (15) and Dawson (13), two little dogs: Toothy (10) and Hiccup (10).

I have taught many years.  I have taught in 3rd grade classrooms,4th grade classrooms, 5th grade classrooms, and 6th grade classrooms.  This is my seventh year at Mirage Elementary School.

My goal as a teacher is to teach kids respect and responsibility.  I find that once the kids respect themselves and others around them, they take responsibility for their actions which includes their education.
