About the Teacher

Mrs. Nevers has been an educator for over 20 years. She has been a Reading Specialist and taught Kindergarten and First Grade. This will be her eleventh year in the Deer Valley Unified School District.  Mrs. Nevers earned both her Bachelor and Masters degrees from Northern Arizona University.  She attended additional classes to secure her Reading, English as a Second Language and Early Childhood endorsements. Mrs. Nevers has been awarded numerous grants for her innovative programs.

 

Mrs. Nevers is married to a fellow educator and has two children.  In her spare time she likes to read, attend her children's activites and spend time with her large extended family.
